Eurocamp Pulling Out From Several French Camping Parks

Eurocamp are pulling out from several French camping parks. This includes some of their most popular locations such as Les Peneyrals, La Palombiere, La Bastide en Ardeche and Soleil Plage.

The full list they are withdrawing from is as follows:

Le Littoral in Les Sables d’Olonne;
Les Ilates in Ile de Ré;
Les Peneyrals in Salignac;
La Palombiere in Sarlat;
Camping Club Mar Estang in Canet;
Domaine Du Verdon in Castellane;
La Bastide en Ardèche in Sampzon;
Soleil Plage in Vitrac.

For the moment they are all listed on Eurocamp but if you enter any dates at all for them in 2019, they come up as unavailable regardless of which dates in 2019 you choose to enter.

Eurocamp Pulling Out From Several French Camping Parks

La Bastide en Ardèche in Sampzon is one of the camping parks in France which will no longer be available through Eurocamp.

There are a variety of different reasons for Eurocamp pulling out from these locations. Some such as Les Peneyrals and Soleil Plage have been bought up by other camping companies. Sandaya have bought Les Peneyrals and Le Littoral and Tohapi have bought Soleil Plage. Tohapi incidentally are the owners of Canvas Holidays. Others have simply opted to market themselves away from Eurocamp.

It is important to stress that all the camping parks listed above plan to reopen for next year. It’s just that they will no longer be available through Eurocamp. You will still be able to book them directly or through a different operator, such as Sandaya or Tohapi. If booking through an operator or business based outside of the UK that you might not have the same level of payment protection on your holiday such as you would get through ABTA when booking through Eurocamp.

Eurocamp stress that they are actively seeking alternative camping parks to replace those no longer available through them. To keep things in perspective, there will still be over 180 other camping parks available to book through Eurocamp, well over a hundred of which are in France, with the likelihood of more being added in due course. Watch out for further updates!
