Camping In The Italian Lakes
Camping In The Italian Lakes – Beautiful Locations For A Great Holiday
We are not of course referring to Camping in the Italian Lakes literally but making reference to the fact that the Italian Lakes are a great region for camping in. A beautiful region that has attracted visitors for many centuries, the Italian Lakes provide a picturesque setting by any yardstick. The five major lakes are Como, Garda, Iseo, Lugano and Maggiore, each of which has it’s own particular character.
As well as the lakes themselves, with so many pretty towns and villages perched by the edge of the lakes, nearby iconic towns and cities such as Brescia, Milan, Venice and Verona are all at hand to visit too, if you wish to. Villages such as Moniga and Peschiera are also worthy of a visit.
Eurocamp have no less than twelve locations for camping in the Italian Lakes. Amongst the most popular are Bella Italia and Camping del Garda in Peschiera on the southern tip of Lake Garda.
Bella Italia
Bella Italia is a sprawling camping holiday park packed full of activities, making it an ideal choice for active families. It has a fabulous pool complex with children’s and lagoon pools, a tennis court and other sports options. There is an on-site supermarket, 5 bars and a restaurant overlooking Lake Garda itself.
For a full breakdown of all the facilities, the different accommodation choices and current availability for booking via Eurocamp, you are invited to take a look at http://www.eurocamp.co.uk/campsites/italianlakes/il019-bella-italia/ataglance.html
Camping del Garda
If you are looking for a child friendly and fun camping holiday park on the shores of Lake Garda, close to a beautiful and historic town such as Peschiera then Camping Del Garda would tick all those boxes. It’s also close to a railway station where you can travel to Venice and Verona if you want a break from the car.
Camping Del Garda has four pools, including children’s pools, there is a bar, a restaurant, a supermarket and all the other amenities expected of a modern camping holiday park as well as plenty of entertainment and the option of walking into Peschiera, a town with plenty of attractions in a traditional setting.
For a full breakdown and more details if you want to book a stay at Camping Del Garda through Eurocamp please go to http://www.eurocamp.co.uk/campsites/italianlakes/il022-camping-del-garda/ataglance.html
Hoseasons Options
Practical tips: Driving from Calais to Lake Garda is approximately nine hours depending on the route you choose and how busy it is. It’s well worth considering an extra stop in each direction to break the journey, either at another camping location (Eurocamp have several options) or a hotel where the widest choice can probably be found at Booking.com
Alternatively, you can also choose from Eurocamp’s fly-drive options if you prefer.
